The article, published in edition  № 3 (156), 2016, p. 60 was elaborated based on the seventh wave of our initiative project  «GRaSS», devoted to the dynamics of Muscovites’  spending in foodstuffs and mass-markets services.

Our research revealed, that through the course of crisis, especially during its peak in 2015 the majority (from 54 up to 69%, depending on the category) in principle did not change expenditures  level on foodstuffs – rather they redistributed their priorities and optimized quantity of products within the fixed sum  without changing expenditures.  Besides, among the priority categories consumers mark dairy products, tea, and coffee.    And it’s not incidental, that the ‘basket’ of services with unchanged expenditures level includes mobile Internet  – food for thought  and heart of contemporary person.
